This is for the draconic exchange on Live Journal. I tried to use verethins, but I think it looks too blah, Perhaps blue shorts were not the best way to go on this picture. But I do love blue, oh yes I do...
Nifty critter, yes! I like the overall blueness of him, it makes him appear to be made of stone or something more elemental and less physical in nature.
The only thing that I found a little odd is the hand that is between his legs appears to be bearing some weight and pressing flat against something. Yet, his left leg clearly appears to be below the hand, so perhaps he is sitting on a barrel? I think it's the lack of background more than the character that makes that seems awkward to me. Also, his left (forewardmost) leg above the knee appears to be in a normal resting position (by the musculature) with the front of the thigh facing up, yet from the knee down, the leg is turned 90 degrees to face us.
Overall, though, excellent work and I particularly love how the wings turned out. They're very well shaded and natural looking.
You did a great job with the coloring and lineart! It might not stand out because of the same color but it is very interesting just the way it is. Very nice!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
